This is a beautiful heavy workhorse blade which I prefer. The weight reminds me of the 10 inch chef knife I used in culinary school but it cuts way better. The first on I received was bent at the handle no worries customer service took care of it right away.

Sharpest knife out of the box i've ever used. Perfectly weight. Cuts like a laser through meat, fruit, or veg. Fit and finish is perfect. Highly recommend.

I’ve used this knife for over a year now, 4-5 days a week. I take great care and maintain all of my knives.
It feels like the tang is loose inside the handle. Everything outside is tight, sealed and doesn’t move. But the inside you can feel and hear something loose.
Besides the handle issues, this knife is amazing. For the level these knives are supposed to be at, the fit and finish should be better. I’ve used multiple Hatsukokoro knives and all have handle issues either right out the box, or in this case within a year. For this reason, I cannot recommend Hatsukokoro anymore.
