Description

The Yaxell Taishi Kiritsuke Knife is designed for all the tasks for which you'd use a chef's knife. It works extremely well with vegetables, julienne, dice, and more. Can also be used for cleaning and portioning boneless proteins, particularly fish, and slices cooked proteins with grace and ease. The straight edge won't rock through cuts such as a traditional chef's knife. Yaxell Taishi's core material is VG10 super stainless steel, which is clad, covered by high quality stainless steel from both sides. The Katana sword wave line gives an impressive appearance on the blade. The handle is made of black beech pakkawood which provides outstanding stability and balance. The attractive bolster and embossed end-cap of the handle is made of brushed stainless steel to ensure great balance for the entire knife. Versatile and high quality at an approachable price point

The Yaxell Taishi 8” Kiritsuke Knife has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen knives. It’s incredibly sharp, lightweight, and very precise for slicing vegetables, meats, and fish. The VG10 steel keeps its edge well, and the hammered finish gives it a beautiful premium look. The handle feels comfortable and balanced, even during longer prep sessions. Excellent quality and performance overall — definitely a knife I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys cooking.

    Awesome Kiritsuke!

This is my first kiritsuke and 2nd Yaxell knife...and goodness is it nice. A VG10 blade at this pricepoint is incredible. The quality is up there with higher end brands costing double. The handle is slim and doesn't have a fully round belly. It is smooth and just well-integrated with the blade. The blade itself is a work of art and very sharp. The blade thickness is thinner than what I prefer so it will need extra care. This is a great affordable kitchen utensil that will get lots of use.

    Stunning knife in person

This is a fantastic knife on the larger side. It is very versatile. I use it offen for many different tasks. The finish and handle are excellent. There were some minor inconsistencies in the sharpening, but it is laser sharp, and I feel that it is hand sharpened/finished. This line is a great bargain for what you get.
