After a few weeks I really like this knife, it cuts better than some of the more expensive knives I have. The thin profile cuts nicely through onion and chicken. While I used to be a carbon steel guy, as a father, having stainless like this when things are hectic is really nice if you don't get to cleaning it right away.
I do prefer an octagonal handle, but not knocking the score since I knew the handle type when I bought it.

The knife is wicked sharp, upon arrival. It is well balanced and slices beautifully. I haven't used it enough to speak to edge retention.
