Description

Introducing Iki, Miyabi's new, limited-edition collection in honor of the Year of Miyabi. Iki means refined grace in Japanese, and this breakthrough collection takes inspiration from Seki, Japan’s, lush, scenic landscapes, including the ethereal moonlight that tenderly kisses the water of the surrounding lakes.

Breathtakingly beautiful and stunningly sharp, Iki is Miyabi's most elegant and luxurious collection offering unparalleled precision and performance. Crafted with an advanced high-carbon, 49-layer MC66 steel to create our new "Moonlight" Damascus pattern, with an artfully carved "Shinogi" grind at the tip of the knife for an even sharper silhouette. Miyabi Iki also boasts exquisite, intricately hand-carved handles featuring gentle curves designed to embody the lakes’ cascading waters. The Maple Burl handles provide exceptional durability and balance, with each one designed to correspond to a specific blade shape. Santoku knife handles are slightly slimmer for gentler cuts, Chef’s Knife handles are wider for a firmer grip, and Paring Knife handles offer a comfortable grip.

    Outstanding Gyuto

This chef's style blade has a built in pinch grip and a beautiful damascus look on the blade. And it is sharp! The handle is made of a beautiful maple burl with a mix of colors from black/gray to various shades of brown swirling around from the triple faceted bolster to the angled butt cap. They even glassed the wood so it will remain just like you bought it. The steel is ZDP-189, one of the hardest and best edge holding steels in the world. This is one of the most beautiful knives in my Zwilling/Miyabi collection.
