Japanese Bread Knife with Blade Guard, 10.6"

It's not quite a 5, but 4.5 stars.

The knife is long, sharp, and sturdy for cutting hard crusts, while also being thin enough for soft bread. It can easily cut a baguette in half (the long way) with a single pull through. It has nice finger clearance when cutting down on a push cut too. It's a nice looking knife and the flower stamp is a lovely touch.

It comes with a nice felt lined plastic guard too. It randomly says the 4 seasons on it in Japanese.

The downsides are that guard is 1.5cm too short and that the tip the knife sticks out from the top of the guard. The other minor issue is the finish of handle. The pins weren't placed with care, so you can see all of the dents left by either hammers or presses.
