Perfect Size - 5 Inch Nakiri

For home cooks, a 6.5" Nakiri is awkwardly too big for most tasks. I am usually cutting 1 or 2 carrots for a meal, not 8 at a time. Nor do I have a huge 36-inch cutting board. This 5" knife gives me more relaxed control and is awesome for virtually all meal prep. I only pull out my big old chef's knife once a week if there's a whole cabbage or butternut squash. I went with the Ittetsu because it is a little lighter than other brands that offer a small nakiri, better balance in my opinion. Very sharp out of the box, and the tsuchime finish feels nice with a pinch grip.
