Perfection! The rounded choil and spine along with the thick sanjo style distal taper makes for a super comfortable cutting experience. Wonderfully thin behind the edge and W2 is so easy to sharpen to hero status. The 210 k-tip is the at home sweet spot for me and I couldn't be any happier!

This knife cuts everything like butter. No food sticking issues. Handle is beautiful. Blade is beautiful.

It was heavier than I expected when I took it out of the box, and though I knew it had a thicker spine I also wasn’t really expecting how thick it was at the handle. At first I wasn’t sure what I thought, but then I used it… wow… the balance is perfect for use and it just glides though everything. It feels like a dream.

This is my fifth Yoshikane. You just cannot go wrong with this brand. I mainly use push chopping and slicing on my board. The Yoshikanes have a little more heft than my other hand forged knives (Enso & Zuma). This makes it easier for me to shop through dense vegetables. The fit and finish on the spine and choil is very nice and the knife is comfortable to hold.
