    Cuts Above It's Weight

I had a utility knife and would reach for the pairing knife instead. After seeing many people praising utility/petty knives I decided to buy this one to match the bunka I purchased from Hatsukokoro. I now reach for this utility knife first. It's light, nimble, easy to hold and releases food well. I'm also a convert to the octogonal handle.

I use it for basic food prep and smaller items when I don't want to use a larger blade. For more serious prep I use the 7" Bunka.

Of note: I realized that the previous utility knife I had simply was not designed as well, so that was a revelation. I also gave it away along with the pairing knife. Now, if I need to use the tip or top edge for fine work, I just choke up on the blade.
