Super light weight cutting board. Holds food in place, does not slide around on our quarzite countertop, and easy to clean. Worth the investment to protect more delicate blades.

I absolutely love this Hasegawa Pro cutting board. I recently started investing in Japanese knives and wanted a board that would help preserve their edges. After watching tons of YouTube reviews, I bought a Parker Asahi as well since it’s so highly recommended — but honestly, I prefer the Hasegawa by far.
A few reasons why:
• I’m a 5 ft petite home cook, and the Parker Asahi is noticeably heavier and a bit harder to move around the kitchen.
• The Hasegawa Pro is also much more visually appealing on the counter.
• While the Parker Asahi is slightly quieter when cutting, I actually enjoy the sound and feel of the Hasegawa surface more.
If you’re on the fence, get this board — you won’t regret it.
