It's a well made knife block. Easily fit my long 10 and 9 inch knives.
Only one downside. Sharpening rod slot is too tight for the ceramic rod. Can only place here a steel honing rod

I ordered this to replace a block that seemed tired and used. This one arrived well packed and looks terrific. Moreover, I am pleased with the number of slots available. It allowed for a smaller footprint on the counter. Useful and a nice refresh.
