Knife maintenance was something my father instilled in me.

By trade he was a butcher. At the butcher block, there was a honing rod, a strop and a cleaning towel.

Sharp knives make the work easier and they are safer to use.

So when I seen the ENZO strop I purchased it .

In my opinion the product is well made and well thought out. Having large hands I found that the 2 inch height was an asset as there have been no issues with my fingers contacting the countertop .That is one benefit, another benefit is the strop fits perfectly into the drawer at my work counter. Not only does it save storage space it is readily accessible. If it is easy to use and easily accessible, you will use it.

In summary, the ENZO strop meets and exceeds my needs. It is the perfect fit for me.

Using a strop is a must have to maintain blade sharpness on a regular basis. This and the use of a ceramic honing rod will extend the time between sharpening for your knives. I have had a double sided paddle strop for some time, but this stropping block caught my eye on your YouTube channel.

This one is a delight to use, and the thickness of the block is a real asset compared to a 3/4" thick paddle. The size and height of the block makes it a joy to use, either hand held or very stable sitting on the countertop. A few passes on both sides, and your knife is razor sharp again.

This is a very well made strop. High quality leather and heavy enough to not slide around when using.

I have several of these strops. Three loaded with diamond compound and a couple untreated. I appreciate the thickness of the wood, quality of the leather and build quality. I have no issues maintaining a sharp edge using these strops.
