Care: Wash and dry by hand (not dishwasher safe). Although this knife is made from a semi-stainless steel cutting core, the core steel on the cutting edge may patina and change color over time. This is normal and not a defect as the knife develops this protective patina. This knife is made from semi-stainless steel with stainless steel cladding, so it will not rust as easily as a full carbon steel knife, but care must still be taken to preserve its beauty and performance.

    Stunning

This is a laser sharp knife out of the box with gorgeous damascus. Perfect size. The bubinga handle had very little character or figure in the wood, but the blade is the star here. I love this knife

    Beautiful knife

This is a beautiful knife. The Damascus pattern is slightly raised and very eye catching. This is the best looking knife I have. The blade is extremely thin and light, so if you are looking for a workhorse with some heft, this is not for you. This knife is moderately hard to sharpen, but it performs great once I got it sharpened on my diamond and water stones. Can't even feel the resistance on potatoes. This knife just glides through them.

I can't give it 5 stars because the Damascus pattern, while great to look at, causes friction on some dense and wet foods like an apple.

It struggled out of the box.

Out of the box it struggled cutting through sweet potatoes and carrots. It didn’t even cut through bell peppers and tomatoes very smooth. I prepped a hand full of veggies and it did the job but now real enjoyably. It cuts paper fine but it doesn’t glide through much else so far. I put it on a ceramic honing rod and it did help but not much. I guess I need to put it to a sharpening stone. It happens from time to time with a new knife- probably happens more than I realize. I’ll get it on a stone soon and hopefully have a better experience. No one’s fault, just the luck of the draw. C&M was great though! Fast shipping, no complaints. I’m not even complaining about the knife, just being honest with the review.
