Miki

Miki, Japan has been a blacksmithing town since the late 1500s, when craftsmen gathered to rebuild it after Toyotomi Hideyoshi's siege of Miki Castle and its smiths began forging saws, chisels, and planes for carpenters across the country. That work became known as Banshu Miki Uchihamono, "Banshu Miki forged blades," and it was designated a Traditional Craft of Japan in 1996. These knives carry that heritage quietly, forged by hand, one at a time, by a smith who leaves no name on the steel and lets the blade speak for itself. Each knife is hand-forged individually with its own damascus pattern, so you'll receive the exact knife pictured. Made in Miki, Japan, in the Banshu Miki Uchihamono tradition of forged blades.
