This was my first purchase of any kind of magnetic knife storage, and any potential concerns I may have had about stability and safety were alleviated when I unboxed this hefty and sturdy magnetic knife stand by Miyabi.

Its efficient use of space to store multiple knives within arm's reach is a big plus for me, having now run out of room in my conventional knife storage block for adding any new knives. As an added bonus, it's actually fun and easy to use by simply rotating the knife handle along the axis formed by the spine of the blade to reduce the magnetic pull on the knife before removing it from the stand, and reversing that process makes it easy to accurately place the spine of the knife back on the stand exactly where you want it before rotating it along the same axis to let the embedded magnets pull the blade safely and securely back into place on the stand.

A good solution for either additional knife storage or as an alternative to a traditional knife block with slots, especially if you like the idea of having some of your nicer knives more visible for display instead of being hidden inside a knife block.
