Handcrafted in Japan by Suehiro, the Leather Paddle Strop is designed to keep your kitchen knives performing at their best.     Invaluable addition for maintaining keen edges

    I bought this strop as part of a whetstone sharpening kit earlier this year. I now strop all my knives on a regular basis and it reduces the need for touch ups on the whetstones. For my German knives I use the rough side first, followed by the smooth side. For my Japanese knives I only use the smooth side. I've knicked the smooth side a couple of times through carelessness with sharp K-tip knives but the strop should last me for many years.

    Very happy with my purchase.

    You never need something extra of leather

    I recommend dissolving chromium compounds in liquid to be more efficient
