Description

The Yaxell Taishi Kiritsuke Knife is designed for all the tasks for which you'd use a chef's knife. It works extremely well with vegetables, julienne, dice, and more. Can also be used for cleaning and portioning boneless proteins, particularly fish, and slices cooked proteins with grace and ease. The straight edge won't rock through cuts such as a traditional chef's knife. Yaxell Taishi's core material is VG10 super stainless steel, which is clad, covered by high quality stainless steel from both sides. The Katana sword wave line gives an impressive appearance on the blade. The handle is made of black beech pakkawood which provides outstanding stability and balance. The attractive bolster and embossed end-cap of the handle is made of brushed stainless steel to ensure great balance for the entire knife. Yaxell Taishi is handcrafted exclusively in Seki City, Japan with a lifetime warranty.

    Stunning knife in person

This is a fantastic knife on the larger side. It is very versatile. I use it offen for many different tasks. The finish and handle are excellent. There were some minor inconsistencies in the sharpening, but it is laser sharp, and I feel that it is hand sharpened/finished. This line is a great bargain for what you get.

    I Like It

I don't know what else to say other than I'm addicted to buying and using Japanese knives. Needed a Kiritsuke that didn't break the bank. Looks great. Feels great in hand.

The Yaxell Taishi kiritsuke is such a great choice for getting that traditional Japanese profile without the premium price tag. That flat edge and angled tip gives so much versatility in the kitchen. Thanks for the great photos, review and your business!
