    Showstopping Bunka

I can highly recommend this beautiful knife. It is razor sharp, and is a joy to look at the same time. The hammered Tsuchime finish and Damascus layered blade is a show stopper. Gorgeous finishing on the knife and the handle. I am usually partial to the traditional Wa handle on my Japanese knives, but this one is extremely comfortable while using the knife. The blonde pakkawood handle, steel bolster and end cap are well executed with a flawless finish, with no gaps or misalignment between them and the wood handle.

In addition to being a real looker, this knife delivers while performing its primary mission in life, making precise and effortless cuts in whatever food you are working on. Tomatoes, celery, onions are a breeze. It slices like a razor working on potatoes. I have not used it on meats or hard vegetables like sweet potatoes yet, but I am certain it will perform like a champ.

My only criticism is the I prefer more of a slope on the K tip. This knife resembles a Santoku in this regard, but this is a minor point as far as I am concerned. I think most other users would agree. Enso and Yaxell knives offer great value and very high quality, and you will not be disappointed by this knife.

You really captured everything that makes this Enso Hizashi special. We're so glad you're loving the blonde pakkawood handle too, even coming from traditional Wa handles. The craftsmanship on these Enso knives is really something else. Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough review and for your business!

    Excellent Knife

The design overall is an excellent unit the blade in conjunction with the handle... My main concern was how it cut as opposed to the other knives I have. They are competent knives, but they range from very good to excellent, however they are heavier by comparison and not as balanced. I now know the ones whose angle geometry are not between 18-22 degrees must be corrected. As this knife cuts effortlessly. I will again be purchasing from here in the not too distant future without a doubt.

    Beautiful Little Knife

I got this particular knife mostly because of the blade height, which gives lots of knuckle clearance to my gorilla-like fingers. Aside from that, this thing is gorgeous. The handle is a little small (did I mention I have big hands), but the shape of the handle makes it comfortable to use despite its size. Overall, I love this knife. It's my first Bunka, and it has quickly replace my Santoku for the tasks I was using that for. Overall, very happy.

    Nice

So far I really like this knife. Enzo is a quality line. There are many Bunka Knifes at a much higher price point but for the price of this knife, it is beautiful. It is sharp, balanced, and feels great to use for everything. I bought both the 7 inch and the smaller assistant and I am happy with both of them.

    Great value

Excellent knife, very well made. The handle is just a bit small for my hand. It did a great job
