Enso HD 2 Piece Bunka & Prep Knife Set

I've had the prep knife for over a year. I just bought the set for the Bunka knife, and to give the prep knife from the set as a gift (they are separately boxed). Both knives are exceptionally sharp; the prep knife held its edge longer than most of my knives before it needed sharpening. The prep knife is my go-to knife for all my prep work, takes the place of both a paring knife and my utility knife. Just got the Bunka knife and it is great for cutting up large vegetables and for chopping. The hammered finish is striking. Great deal for the price!

These knives are absolutely impressive! The craftsmanship is outstanding, and as someone who is notoriously picky and hard to please, I was blown away. It’s almost hard to believe how sharp, elegant, and yes—even sexy—they are. The handle is incredible, offering both comfort and a sense of precision, and the overall design is simple yet stunning.

When I opened the package, the presentation immediately caught my eye. It was simple and beautiful, and it transported me back to my childhood, where knives were strictly off-limits. (Funny enough, I was so excited that I carelessly ended up cutting myself! Let’s just say it was a messy reminder of how sharp these knives truly are—but I had to laugh at my own foolishness.)

Two days later, with some extra caution (and silicone finger protectors in place), I finally got to use the knives properly. Let me tell you, the results were nothing short of extraordinary. The smaller knife slices vegetables with incredible precision and ease, while the 7-inch blade handles meat perfectly. These knives truly perform like a dream.
