Description

The Enso SG2 Utility Knife is ideal for a multitude of small tasks where more precise cuts are needed, such as trimming broccoli, green beans, or other smaller vegetables. Enso SG2 features an extremely sharp cutting edge. Constructed of Japanese SG2 Micro Carbide powder stainless steel, which is enveloped by 101 layers combined with alternating soft and hard stainless steel. The corrosion resistant powdered carbon steel has an unprecedented 63 Rockwell hardness. Powdered steel is used because it ensures a high degree of purity and strength. The resulting blade is extremely hard, ensuring an exceptionally sharp cutting edge. The surface impresses a fascinating Damascus design pattern. The handle is made of black canvas micarta with a stainless steel bolster, red spacers and Samurai Crest. The engraved end-cap of the handle is made of 18/10 stainless steel, which provides outstanding stability and balance. Handcrafted in Seki City, Japan with a lifetime warranty.

    Stunning Knife

    This knife would rate five stars on appearance alone. The Damascus pattern on the blade is lovely and the hand-engraved kanji is elegant. The handle is complex in design, the micarta impressive and the overall level of fit and finish is perfect. Pictures do not do it justice. But it's more than simply beautiful to look at. It's extremely sharp and likely to stay that way for a long time given the SG2 core. And while it's heavy for its size and weighted towards the handle, for this particular knife that's a good thing because it makes slicing easier even as it increases the control you have over the blade action. There are quite a few narrow-bladed 6" utility knives out there to purchase but this one is best in class.

    They Don’t Come Better Than This

    This knife is razor sharp and a work of art. Superb craftsmenship. I bought this for my grandson who has become very interested in cooking. Also, the customer service at Cutlery and More is the best.

    Absolutely beautiful daily use knife. Extremely sharp easy to handle and great for smaller vegetables or proteins. We have several of these knives and they're outstanding in every way.
