    Inexpensive good quality

    Been using daily for a couple weeks. The more I use it the better I like it. Chinese cleavers are new to me and the have a different personality from my other knives. Fit and finish seem real good for a knife of this price. It was sharp, but have been better. A few passes on my ceramic hone improved it. Being 7 inches it’s light weight and easy to handle which is why I chose it, but it probably is too small for bigger products. Cleaning and maintenance is a breeze and the sheath is a very nice and welcomed addition. Great knife and an excellent price. Definitely recommend it.

    Fabulous Chinese Chef Knife

    I worked in a chain of Japanese fast-food restaurants during my college days in the 1980s. I used a Damascus carbon steel Chinese chef knife for everything. I love the versatility, ease of use, flat/lack of belly, and edge retention. In those days, cutlery as such was not recognized or appreciated. It was just another cleaver to most people. I didn’t know either, but I would not use anything else. When I left, the owner gave it to me in appreciation. My father loved it; it was the only knife that would cut thru his menudo, so I gave it to him. On and off, I have been looking for an exact replacement. I have few knives, but of high quality such Miyabi. They have never felt at home in my hand such that old clever. When I saw this nexus clever, it had all the right dimensions and style; except it is stainless. I gave in and tried it, and I could not be happier. The 80s Chinese chef knife was over $100 then, and I would have paid 3 times more if I could find it again. But I found a match to it for far less. My hunt has ended. It is well sharpened from the factory, but I am practicing free-hand sharpening on cheap knives for when my beloved needs sharpening. Now, I am waiting for C&M specials on the Shapton glass stones.

    Affordable Cleaver

    Great balance, sharp edge out of the box, nice blade length, you can grab a lot of food with it, very affordable steel. Perfect fit for a home cook. I give it 4.9, rounding to 5 stars since the choil can be chamfered a little more. Just round it over with your sharpening stone on the first sharpening and it will be perfect.

    Great knife and customer service

    I am extremely pleased with this knife,especially for the price. It is lightweight, has a thin blade that is perfect for vegetable (or thinner bones meat), is very slightly balanced toward the front but in a good way, very good fit and finish, and it's a good size for a home cook. I haven't used it long enough to speak to how long it holds an edge but, based on the metal composition, it should be good. For comparison previously I used a Henkel Santoku for most of my vegetables and this knife is much more enjoyable to use and feels more controlled despite being similar in length and weight. I think that is largely due to the balance. Be aware that the handle is unfinished. It's walnut so it should hold up fine without finishing but I used Wood Wax to bring out the grain and make it more water and stain resistant. On the customer service side, Cutlery and More shipped the order promptly and everything was correct.
