Messermeister 6.5" Saddle Magnetic Leather Edge-Guard

I bought this sheath to go with the Messermeister 6 inch utility knife. It fits like a glove and is better than a generic wooden sheath could ever be. It protects the entire blade and, being magnetic on both side and along the entire length, absolutely will not permit the knife to become unsheathed until you open it. If you get the knife and need a sheath this is the one to buy.

Messermeister Edge Guards are an interesting, if somewhat expensive, option for knives kept in a drawer. Like a wooden sheath they completely cover the blade, which is good for the knife. But if you have a busy knife drawer there's no magnetic wooden sheath that you can totally rely on to hold on to a blade as you pull the knife out. The Messermeister has magnets that run the length of both sides of the blade and will hold on to that blade no matter what, which is good for your hands. Worth considering if you have lots of knives in your drawer.

I ordered this to protect a 6.3" Bunka blade and it covers it perfectly.
