Well built sharpener
Well, I haven't actually had to use this yet because my MAC knives are holding their edge so well. But it is a well built device that I am sure will do a great job when I need it.

Works well
I have several MAC & Shun knives that I have accumulated over the years and use them often. They were razor sharp when new and I maintained their edge with ceramic rods. I didn't realize they had actually lost some or their edge until I got this sharpener. I've only used it one time but it has returned my all of knives to their original razor sharpness. Just a couple of passes did the job.

Sharpener and knife set
Did a significant amount of reading and review of kitchen knives. I did not care about the cost. I chose the 3 MAC knife set based on the reviews treat these are the sharpest knives out of the box one can buy. That is what I was hunting for. Took the plunge. Love this set of knives. If I had to do it over I would have bought the foul 4 knife set with the knife wood block.
