It has great pull. The knives jump onto it when they're about an inch away from it. Installed using command strips and it's still attached to the wall.

My husband had his doubts about its security...
It’s a very strong magnet!
I purchased the 20” which was necessary to hold a variety of knives -9 in total.
The walnut finish is perfect and anchored into the cabinet face. The magnet is within the soft finish so there’s no chance of scratching my knives.
We love it!
